The experienced coaches at The G Group will help you achieve your highest performing self. Be the you that has learned from your mistakes and walks through the world more confident and less fearful. Learn to shed the thoughts and beliefs that limit your performance. Whether the embarrassed guest at the dinner party who spends the rest of the evening thinking about what she SHOULD have said instead of the awkward words that tumbled out of her mouth, or the young executive who sits anxiously in the meeting unsure of how the idea in his head will land with the others in the room, so instead of speaking up, remains silent. Or maybe it’s the young manager who nervously fumbles the first time they have to deliver feedback to an underperforming employee.
The G Group helps individuals close the performance gap between where they are and where they can be. It is ideal for:

Gary has a passion for helping people become their best selves. He has been coaching youth sports for almost 30 years and has received training in Motivational Interviewing to help individuals set and achieve goals. Most recently, Gary graduated from the prestigious Hudson Institute of Coaching and is a certified member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
One of the things that separates Gary from his peers is having worked in county government for 25 years. While much of his practice is centered in the public-facing and non-profit spaces, he also has many clients in corporate and tech who have found it refreshing and useful to have a coach with a different background and perspective. Gary enjoys working with emerging leaders and individuals facing major life decisions and/or transitions. For those in the Bay Area that happen to play golf, ask about the option of in-person coaching sessions over a 9-hole round of golf!
Gary is a happily married father of two who enjoys hiking, golf, travel and binge-watching terrible TV while snuggled on the couch with his fur-baby Bella. When not coaching, parenting or playing golf, Gary spends his time volunteering as a CASA, coaching Special Olympics, and supporting other local nonprofits.
Gary enjoys learning and is fascinated by what makes people tick. Gary earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and while there, spent time working in the Neuroscience Lab of Dr. Ron Mangun. He also earned a Master's Degree in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University.
